It’s the 45th time the prestigious ‘BEST CARS 2021’ awards is being held in Stuggart, Germany on the 11th of February 2021.Maserati has won several prizes and awards, the most special one being the ‘Upper Middle Class-Import’ category. This award winning model is none other than the all-new 2021 Maserati Ghibli. We can already tell just by referring to the awards won by this sports sedan that it is without a doubt Maserati’s most successful sedan.
A fast 4 door Maserati
The all and new 2021 Maserati Ghibli comes with menacing yet modern exterior to match its performance figures. The V6 variant pumps out 424 horsepower and 580nms of torque. There is now a V8 variant available for the 2021 Maserati Ghibli, which produces a whopping 580 horsepower which makes the car capable of accelerating from 0 to 100kmh in 4.3 seconds. With a claimed top speed of 326kmh and the all new ‘Corsa’ driving mode now available, it doesn’t get any better than this.
And now with a Hybrid powertrain
To keep up with the other players, Maserati has achieved another milestone in its more than ‘106 years’ history. Maserati has revealed the all new Ghibli Hybrid,which makes it the first Hybrid car to be produced in Maserati’s history. With 330 horsepower power output and a claimed top speed of 255km/h, the all new Ghibli Hybrid without a doubt is still a Maserati. This eco-friendly machine is capable of sprinting all the way from 0km/h to 100km/h in a whopping 5.7 seconds. All that performance comes from only a 2.0 litre four cylinder engine which has been paired up with a 48 volt battery, BSG and an E-Booster supercharger. Therefore, this creates a balanced a trade-off between power and efficiency.
The Ghibli pedigree
We all know that this Italian sports sedan has been around with its iconic coupe silhouette for a few years now. Yet, the all-new 2021 Maserati Ghibli has received a lot of comprehensive technical and stylistic enhancements. One of the highlighted features being the all and new infotainment system call MIA which stands for Maserati Intelligent Assistant with a 10.1 inch screen.Furthermore, the new Maserati Connect program enables the owner to stay connected to their vehicle.
