One of the biggest running costs of car ownership is your fuel bills. With most Malaysian’s spending at least an hour in their cars every day for their daily commute, fuel bills can be hefty, especially when the fuel prices fluctuate. This takes a toll on everything else you wanted to do including that dream vacation you always wanted to go on.
Shell Malaysia however has come up with a solution where you will be able to still make it to that dream vacation even if you spend your entire paycheck on fuel. Enter the ‘Win a trip with Shell’ contest. For only RM40, you could win a trip to Italy, New Zealand or South Korea for you and your plus one from now until the 31st of March.
Basically, you just have to spend RM40 at any Shell retail stations nationwide, which works out to be about 20 liters of fuel, or ¾ of a Myvi’s tank and you will be eligible to enter the contest, where a winner is picked every week!
When speaking at the launch event of the contest, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd Shairan Huzani Husain said that their research showed that Malaysian’s love to travel to gain new experiences and they recognize that and this contest is the way to show that customers are Shell Malaysia’s main priority.
We also saw the first winner of the competition receiving his reward. 35 year old administrative assistant from Kedah, Mr Wan Muhammad Fathi Bin Wan Nik Kamal did not even have an international passport on the day of the event. But thanks to Shell’s Win an Trip contest, his prize of a New Zealand holiday package gives him the perfect excuse to queue up at the immigration counter.
Shell will be hosting nationwide roadshows from here until the 3rd of March to showcase the grand prizes. The roadshow will be at East Coast Mall in Kuantan (31 January – 3 February), KSL City Mall in Johor Bahru (15 – 17 February), Queensbay Mall in Penang (21 – 24 February), and Aeon Station 18 in Ipoh (26 February – 3 March).
So next time you want to fill up your ride, be sure to head over to the nearest Shell station, your fuel bill could win you your dream vacation!
