At Route Hunters Malaysia we set out to document the best driving roads in Malaysia. Over the past decade we have documented over 100 driving roads outside of Ulu yam and Genting Highlands. More over, we have also found 100\u2019s of eateries that serve some of the best in local cuisine, and places of interest to stop at which culminates into the ultimate Malaysian road trip. This weekends event will see us criss crossing the longest mountain range in South East Asia. With most of the elevation hovering between 800-2000 meters above sea level, roads that cut through this mountain range is both spectacular and provides a unique driving experience. We will cut through the mountain range TWICE, driving across 4 different driving roads, stopping for fuel and lunch inbetween.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

We will be staying overnight in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands. After spending the better part of the day attacking the corners of various driving roads across Selangor and Pahang, the cool mountain weather of Cameron Highlands would be just what we need to wind down. Also since the accommodation is in Tanah Rata, you do not have to endure the notorious weekend traffic that plagues the rest of Cameron Highlands. The main event of this drive is witnessing the sunrise over the sea of clouds. One of the advantages of starting a sunrise drive from the highlands is that you\u2019re already sitting at a high altitude. Next is the surrounding rainforest, which in the morning has a heavy amount of mist which when seen over an altitude looks extremely dramatic, like a sea made entirely out of clouds. As the sun rises over the mountains, and the rays shimmer across the clouds and on to your face, its like mother nature herself is smiling at you. This is something you need to experience once to get it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
