We were there at last year\u2019s show, which had a whole lot of\nattraction sprawled across the MAEPS Exhibition Centre. There were off-road\ndriving experiences, a near-vertical hill climb in a pickup truck and plenty of\nnew and exotic cars spread across multiple halls.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s no exception either, with more attractions,\ncars, and activities, the team behind the Malaysia Autoshow have truly upped\nthe ante for this year. So if it all seems a little overwhelming, then here\u2019s a\nquick rundown on the 5 must do activities of this year\u2019s show!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Cars<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A mark of a good car show has to be its list of new cars.\nThe Malaysia Autoshow 2019 is no exception either, everything from the humble\nspecial edition Perodua Bezza, the 2019 Proton Persona and Iriz models to the\nultra-futuristic BMW i3S electric hatch, they are all here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special mention has to be made about the Perodua concept\nvehicles and the wildly outlandish Honda Civic Type R Mugen Concept that graces\nthe Honda Malaysia stand. The Type R has already received varied comments on\nits \u2018striking\u2019 looks, but Mugen takes that look and turned the dial up to 11.\nLove it or hate it, it\u2019s quite the sight to behold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modded cars<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The only way you can top the outlandish look of the Mugen\nfurnished Type R is in the tuning scene. This year\u2019s motorshow has a huge\ncollection of modded cars which are running on our streets. Everything from a\nTomei engined R34, a lovely Starlet, and two lovely Mazda Familia GTR\u2019s grace\nthe hall floor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our personal favorite though has to be a clean and simple\nlooking Toyota Celica GT-Four. Looking like a decal free replica of the Group B\nRally car, the car has some lovely bits all around it and even has a matching\nlicense plate. Only the truly passionate will appreciate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Test Drives<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The advantage of hosting a car show at MAEPS is the amount\nof space the venue has. This makes it the perfect place for a test drive. The\nparticipating manufacturers like Kia, Proton, and even Mercedes Benz has test\ndrive vehicles for you to test at the show. So if you like a car you see at the\nshow be sure to ask the representatives at the stand, you might be able to test\ndrive it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outdoor Activites<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Just like last year, there\u2019s a list of outdoor activities\nthat will take place at the Malaysia Autoshow. Everything from Perodua\u2019s\nautonomous braking demo, off road driving experience, a gokart track as well as\ndrone flying competitions are all there. You can choose to be a curious\nbystander or in some activities participate to get a first hand experience!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joyrides<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Talking about participating, if you\u2019re really brave enough,\nthen be sure to take part in the Proton Joyride activity. By registering at the\nProton booth in Hall A, you get to ride shotgun with either Karamjit Singh,\nformer Production World Rally Champion or James Veerapen, the Sepang 1000kms\nrace champion. We can go on about how both of these talented drivers are behind\nthe wheel, but we rather let the pictures do the talking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if you\u2019re thinking of something to do this weekend, then\nhead over to MAEPS Serdang and get an adrenaline filled weekend activity with\nthe Malaysia Autoshow 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
