The Peugeot 3008 has served the Route Hunters team well, serving as the recce car for our events and shoots in 2018 and has been the perfect family car for the editors household needs. So now in 2019, we would like to give you a full analysis report on how it feels to live with the Peugeot 3008 for the past 37,000km, which were accumulated in the last 11 months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this report, we will cover how the features on the car\nhas been useful to both for family usage as well as Route Hunters usage, and\nhow the overall materials of the car has withstood 11 months and 37,000km of\nabuse. Also we shall speak about the expenses incurred in running this car for\nthe past 11 months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exterior<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

First off is the exterior. The paint and chrome finishing\ncan be shiny but they can show watermarks quite obviously after a 3 day period,\nespecially in the back where there\u2019s a black gloss panel that runs between two\ntail lights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be thankful for the hard plastic bits on the underside of\nthe car, there\u2019s a lot of road grime thrown up from the car by those chunky all\nterrain tires. The plastic takes the beating and quite well too, leaving the\nbodywork in pristine condition. About 50% of driving in this car is done on B\nRoads across the Peninsular on roads with lots of dust and debris. The\npaintwork stays pristine thanks to the plastic bits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the paintwork itself, since the copper color is\npretty striking, we recommend getting some form of coating or waxing to ensure\nthat it\u2019s protected. We will dive deeper into paint protection soon with our\nupcoming content so stay tuned! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How the i-Cockpit interior was when new<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This is the business end of the 3008, the place where we\nspent the bulk of our time in the 3008. First off, the i-cockpit layout it\nactually very intuitive and if you were not used to it in the initial days,\neventually it will become second nature. In fact peering through your steering\nwheel to read your instruments will feel alien and obsolete. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After 37,000km, its still as fresh as the day it came out of the showroom

There are 4 types of materials used in the interior of the\nPeugeot 3008, there\u2019s the soft touch plastic, leather, Bueno fabrics and the\nsatin chrome finishes. There are no discoloration, scratches, wrinkles or\nscratches. The car was parked under the sun for prolonged period of time and\nyet the materials, especially the fabric has looked as fresh as the day it came\nout of the showroom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The orange wrench indicator signals that the next service is due, which is set 2000km prior to the due date. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The leather patch and the piano black finish on the gear\nshifter and center column also looks as fresh as it can be. Dust collects in\nthe creases but a good interior clean will sort that out. The only issue is\nthat the leather in the center armrest can get a little soft. The aircon vent\non the far right in the front developed a little whining squeak, but after a\nwhile, it sorted itself out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boot<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The boot space in the Peugeot 3008 is actually bigger than\nits rivals, including the Honda CRV. It\u2019s got a 590 liter boot space which is\nbigger than the 522 liter space offered by the Honda CR-V and the 515 liters\noffered by the Proton X70. This is helpful with every grocery or shopping run.\nEven more so when you have to pack your crew\u2019s equipment when you head over on\na cross country road trip, as you can see in the video. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
